Do you need a cable float or fixed float?

Cable float

On the standard models, the float hangs from a length of cable and swings upward as the water rises, switching the pump on. As the water drops, the float falls and switches the pump off.

Fixed vertical float

On the FF models, the float is fixed vertically, and rises with the water switching the pump on. As the water drops, the float falls and switches the pump off.

The Bianco Pumpz VAS2 range at a glance

The Bianco VAS2 range is built for clean or slightly dirty water with soft solids (stormwater, drainage and greywater) and not raw sewage or heavy solids.

A few quick definitions for the table below:

  • Max head is how high (or far) the pump can push water — the greater the head, the higher the lift before flow drops away.
  • Max flow is how much water it shifts at its best, measured in litres per minute.
  • Solids is the largest soft particle the pump can pass without clogging.
  • Float every pump comes in two versions. Standard model with a cable float and an FF model with a fixed float.
